Colouring marzipan black
1. Ingredients: 60 g marzipan paste, finely sieved icing sugar, Brauns-Heitmann food colouring in purple, blue, and brown, a little water.
2. Mix 2 tsp of icing sugar with 1 tsp of water. Stir ½ tsp of each food colouring in purple, blue, and brown into this mixture.
3. Then work the coloured sugar mixture into the marzipan.
If the mixture is too sticky, knead in some more icing sugar.
The black marzipan can now be cut or moulded into shapes, or rolled out.
